Breathtaking Tours of Monument Valley

Goulding’s offers a variety of exclusive tours through Monument Valley Tribal Park and beyond. Sit back and enjoy fascinating geological and historical information about this amazing area known as the “Land of Long Shadows.”

 

All of our tour guides are local Navajos who grew up in and around the Monument Valley area. During the tours, they provide access to trails and paths not open to the public while offering insight about the Valley. They are proud of their heritage and are more than happy to share stories about their culture and history, so don’t hesitate to ask!

 

Our tour vehicles are modern, clean and well-maintained, providing top safety and comfort. The open-air vehicles in our fleet come equipped with large transparent flaps that can be quickly deployed, should the weather take an abrupt turn.

Goulding's Museum and Trading Post

No visit to Goulding’s Lodge is complete without experiencing Goulding’s Trading Post Museum. The museum opened in 1989 as both a showcase of artifacts and a glimpse into a bygone era. Goulding’s Lodge is not just a famous locale for Old West movies – it is also steeped in a rich history of trading, tourism, and culture.

Earth Spirit Theatre

John Ford and John Wayne Westerns are what put Monument Valley on the map, and these films are what brings many visitors to explore the breathtaking beauty. In the Earth Spirit Theater, you can watch a John Wayne movie nightly, as well as learn more about the sandstone structures in “Among the Monuments” and the local Navajo culture in “Earth Spirit.”

 

Open and complimentary to all Goulding’s guests. The theater is also available to rent and show custom content for private groups and tours.

Goulding's Gift Shop

During your stay in Monument Valley, don’t forget to stop by Goulding’s Gift Shop. Our Southwestern items include handmade jewelry, pottery, rugs, and other artwork. All artwork is made regionally and locally by Native Americans and guaranteed authentic. Most local items come with a picture of the artist. Our collection of handwoven Navajo rugs includes over 300 different styles, sizes, and prices. Don’t forget to bring a piece of Monument Valley home with you!
