Explore the Navajo and Hopi Reservations and discover the richness of the land and people. Visit Trading Posts which have been in existence since the 1870’s (Hubbell, Tuba City, and Cameron). Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park, often called the eighth wonder of the world, is located deep within the Navajo Reservation. The Navajo live in the company of spectacular free standing, red rock buttes, towering pillars, spires, and sand dunes. Mammoth monoliths and immense rock spires stretch heavenward from the desert floor. Fine examples of Indian cliff dwellings and ruins can be found in Canyon de Chelly National Monument. The Canyons here have sheltered Anasazi culture for centuries and served as an ancestral stronghold for the Navajos. In-depth tours in small vehicles of both natural wonderlands are featured in this kaleidoscope of color tour. Tour Window Rock, the Capital of the Navajo Nation, including the Navajo Nation Museum, the Navajo Nation Arts and Crafts Enterprises, and the Navajo Nation Council Chambers and Veterans Memorial Park. Continue to the small Hopi Reservation, concentrated on three high mesas and completely surrounded by the Navajo Reservation. Take a step back in time when visiting the homeland of the Hopi and experience one of the oldest cultures in North America.
